Fishing this month has really started to heat up as the days get shorter and the small cold pushes of air arrive. We are finally in what I would consider our “winter tides” where the larger low tide occurs earlier in the day rather than late afternoon into sunset. This can be advantageous when you time this with the sunrise or peak sun periods that can allow for excellent sight fishing situations for all species. There is still a ton of bait on the flats including an abundance of small mullet where you’ll find everything in your dreams this time of year.
Shark fishing late summer was a ton of fun figuring out and will be promoting more because simply they’re incredible. Not only are they not easy to convince but they change zip codes and frequently jump when hooked.
